White Hetian Jade Plaque: Archaistic Animal Mask, 75.6 g

No. This individual piece has already been collected and remains online as a reference. You can ask Yufu Jade to look for a similar material, form or carving subject; any new piece is documented and quoted separately.

A symmetrical animal mask fills most of a softly squared plaque. Raised brows, curling cheeks and a large ring-like lower feature are set against a smooth background, with the close-up showing the rounded relief. The source notes small cotton-like inclusions in the jade; these should be assessed in the close-up photographs. Compare the outer profile in the full view with the smaller carved details in the close-ups. An angled view helps separate changes in surface depth from differences caused by lighting. Photographs are useful for studying the composition, but do not establish the maker, the tools used or a workmanship grade.

The listed dimensions are 51 x 43 mm, approximately 2.01 x 1.69 in. Compare these measurements with a ruler to judge the scale. Listed weight: 75.6 g. Confirm the suspension opening and any included cord or fittings.

The source records small cotton-like inclusions. Request current close-ups of these areas to judge their appearance alongside the carving. A photo can show an inclusion or a surface line without establishing its depth or effect on durability. Ask for views under different lighting and a condition assessment if that distinction affects your decision.
