Terms & Conditions
Last updated:
These terms explain how to use the Yufu Jade website and what to confirm when enquiring about a jade piece. Purchases are arranged through personal consultation.
1. Using this website
This website presents jade products and educational information under the Yufu Jade name. You may browse the catalogue, ask about a piece and request information before making a purchase decision. Please provide accurate contact details and send enquiries that relate to a genuine question or proposed transaction.
Do not misuse the forms, submit malicious files or code, interfere with the site's operation, attempt unauthorised access, or impersonate another person. A product enquiry is a request for information; it is not an online checkout or an automatic order confirmation.
2. Confirm the seller and the individual piece
Before paying, obtain written confirmation of the legal seller's identity and contact details, the exact product reference, the agreed price and currency, the item's availability and the terms of the proposed sale. The seller's details should be consistent across the quotation, invoice and payment instructions. Resolve any discrepancy before proceeding.
A website listing does not reserve a one-of-a-kind piece. Availability can change while an enquiry is being discussed. Confirm that the particular piece shown is still available and which photographs and specifications relate to the proposed order.
3. Product descriptions, photographs and dimensions
Jade can show variations in colour, translucency, inclusions, surface texture and carved detail. Photographs assist comparison, but lighting, camera settings and screens affect appearance. Some catalogue images have been resized, cropped or edited to clean the background; ask for current, unretouched daylight views when assessing an individual piece.
Read each listing's material, source and measurement qualifications. A colour or trade description such as mutton-fat white is not, by itself, an independent quality grade or proof of geographic origin or treatment status. Measurements may be incomplete, and any figure marked for confirmation should be checked before purchase.
A stand, chain, cord, accent bead, fitting, certificate or display prop visible in a photograph is not automatically included. Confirm the supplied components. For a pair or set, confirm the number of pieces, the measurements of each piece and whether the quotation covers the whole set.
4. Identification, provenance and certificates
Ask which claims about the particular piece are supported by a laboratory report or other documentation. A report identifying nephrite or Hetian jade does not automatically establish Xinjiang origin, untreated colour, an alluvial source, the artist, an award or a market value.
If documentation is important to your decision, request a readable copy, match it to the item, and verify the issuing laboratory and report number through the issuer's official service. Agree any further testing, its cost and timing before payment. General educational material on this site is not an independent appraisal or a laboratory report on the item.
5. Prices, quotations and payment
Catalogue prices are shown with their stated currency. Some USD listings are converted from CNY using a configured exchange rate and rounded to a whole dollar; they are not a live currency quotation. Obtain the final itemised amount and payment currency in writing before making a transfer.
Confirm payment methods, any deposit, the balance due, applicable charges and when the seller considers the order accepted. Do not send card details or account passwords through the enquiry form. Independently confirm unexpected changes to payment instructions before acting on them.
If a listing contains a price or specification error, ask for a corrected quotation before ordering. Any issue discovered after an order has been agreed must be addressed in accordance with the agreed terms and applicable consumer law; these website terms do not give the seller an unrestricted right to cancel a completed sale.
6. Delivery, insurance, taxes and customs
Confirm the delivery destination, packing, carrier, dispatch estimate, insurance or declared-value cover, tracking arrangements and delivery charge before payment. This website does not promise that every item can be shipped to every destination or that a particular arrival date is guaranteed.
For an international order, confirm import restrictions, customs documentation, applicable duties and taxes, and which party is responsible for each charge. The written quotation should make clear whether such costs are included. Responsibilities imposed by applicable law still apply.
On receipt, inspect the parcel and piece and retain the packaging and available photographs if there is damage, loss or a mismatch. Contact the seller promptly with the reference and supporting information so the issue can be investigated. This request to report an issue does not replace any statutory claim period.
7. Cancellations, returns and after-sale issues
Before payment, obtain the cancellation and return terms that apply to the proposed purchase. Confirm any return period, the return address, the procedure, who pays the return shipping, and when and how a refund would be made. Do not assume that a bespoke or altered item has the same cancellation conditions as an unaltered catalogue piece.
If an item is faulty, damaged in transit or materially different from the agreed description, contact the seller with the order reference and relevant evidence. The appropriate response depends on the issue, the agreed terms and the law that applies.
Nothing on this page excludes or reduces mandatory rights or remedies that applicable consumer law gives you. A separate written agreement cannot remove a right that cannot lawfully be waived.
8. Cultural information and buying decisions
Descriptions of Buddhist figures, animals, plants and other motifs explain cultural or artistic associations. They do not promise health benefits, protection, good fortune, financial gain or a particular personal outcome.
Buy jade on the basis of the individual item, reliable supporting information, your preferences and an affordable budget. This website does not promise investment performance or a future resale price. Care and buying guides provide general information and do not replace an assessment of a specific piece.
9. Website content, external links and availability
Text, photographs, designs and other material on the website may be protected by intellectual-property rights belonging to their respective owners. You may use the site to evaluate products and keep information for your own purchase enquiry. Obtain the appropriate permission before reproducing protected material commercially; rights and exceptions provided by law remain unaffected.
Links to laboratories and other external resources are provided for reference. Their operators are responsible for their own content and services. A reference link does not imply that the external organisation endorses Yufu Jade or has tested a particular product.
Website access may be interrupted by maintenance or technical problems. Information may be corrected or updated, but an update to the website does not by itself change an existing order agreement or remove statutory rights.
10. Questions, privacy and changes
Use Contact Us for a question about these terms or to raise a product concern. Include the product or order reference and describe what needs clarification. Any applicable governing law or dispute arrangement should be made clear in the transaction documentation, subject to mandatory protections that apply to the customer.
The Privacy Policy explains how website enquiry and subscription information is handled. The date at the top identifies this version of the website terms. Changes should be read before starting a new transaction; they do not retrospectively replace the terms of an existing agreed order.
