The front of this rectangular white jade plaque contains a finely carved landscape with figures, buildings and vegetation. A transmitted-light view emphasises differences in relief depth, while the third photograph shows a smooth, largely undecorated back. This front-and-back contrast is useful when assessing the work titled Visiting Friends Among Streams and Mountains.
