White Hetian Jade Plaque: Prosperity and Long Life, 62.2 g

No. This individual piece has already been collected and remains online as a reference. You can ask Yufu Jade to look for a similar material, form or carving subject; any new piece is documented and quoted separately.

A lightly carved longevity composition occupies a slim rectangular plaque. The broad undecorated reverse and straight edge keep the overall form simple, in contrast with the delicate scene on the front. Compare the outer profile in the full view with the smaller carved details in the close-ups. An angled view helps separate changes in surface depth from differences caused by lighting. Photographs are useful for studying the composition, but do not establish the maker, the tools used or a workmanship grade.

The listed dimensions are 68 x 35 mm, approximately 2.68 x 1.38 in. Compare these measurements with a ruler to judge the scale. Listed weight: 62.2 g. Confirm the suspension opening and any included cord or fittings.

Birds and flowering plants are familiar elements of Chinese auspicious art. The title adds a wish for prosperity and long life to the scene; the interest of the piece lies in how those elements are arranged in the relief. Read this as the traditional subject of the carving, rather than a statement about its age, maker or a promised effect on the owner.
