About This Piece
A pierced crest tops an elongated Wushi panel with a rounded lower edge. One face has a faint small motif, while the other retains a broad quiet field enclosed by a fine border.
Carving details and what to examine
Openwork creates actual openings through the jade, so the surrounding bridges are part of the structure as well as the design. Look at both faces and the inside edges under changing light to assess the finish and check for damage around these narrow connections.
